Photography in dreamscene videos

As a semi-professional photographer, I was interested in putting my work onto my computer desktop. I initially wanted static photos (which I had taken) put onto my desktop, I wanted the photo to change every so many seconds. So I searched the web to look for ways of doing this. This is when I came across dreamscene videos, which meant I could put all of my photo’s on my desk top, but instead of them being static, it would be on there as moving wallpaper.

I had recently been to London and took various pictures of famous landmarks within the city. So I went through my portfolio to decide exactly which photo’s to incorporate into my moving wallpaper.

The first photo I picked out to put onto my dreamscene was that of Buckingham Palace, which is home to the Queen of England – Her Majesty Elizabeth the II. Built in
1702 by the Duke of Buckingham, and was originally called Buckingham House. It wasn’t until 1837 that Buckingham House gained status as a Royal Palace when Queen Victoria took the throne.

I then sorted through my photo’s and added Canary Wharf Tower which was built in 1991 and stands more than eight hundred feet high. Leicester Square was also added, I felt that the photographs of the huge lions that I had took were a good reflection on what London is all about, plus the fact that Sir Isaac Newton once lived in Leicester square was also a bonus.

Next I added pictures of the Millennium Dome, as this was the building which was the focal point in which London saw in the year 2000. It is now known as the O2 Arena and hosts sell out concerts for award winning artists.

St Paul’s Cathedral was the next photograph I added to my moving wallpaper, I had took pictures of this magnificent building, both inside and out. As the building took 35 years to complete I felt it had to be added to my dreamscene. I climbed up hundreds of small and winding steps, and took pictures of the view over London.

I then added a picture which I had took of the millennium eye, standing 135 meters high, this is the largest Ferris wheel in Europe. The view of the city which can be seen from one of the pods is absolutely breathtaking. I also added one of the pictures which I had taken whilst on the wheel, which was of tower bridge. As it was dark when I was on the millennium wheel the picture I got of tower bridge was amazing it was all lit up. An amazing structure.

I collated all of my photo’s and put them on to my desktop as animated wallpaper. The result is absolutely fantastic, it is my photography work, but it almost looks too good to be true. I am really impressed with my dreamscene video, which has enabled me to bring to life my photo’s of London.
